a hidden gem nestled at the very heart of Paradise Street,
with its chandeliers sparkling high above the bustling city,
and its portrait adorned walls reminding you of yesteryear,
when the glamorous would meet for a tipple to drink and some upbeat jazz,
who could possibly resist?
Step inside with me...
As you step inside, you are immediatly transported into a new world reminiscent of the days when gentleman roamed the streets and ladies stepped out of carriages.
Ever wondered what it was like to step into the 1920s speakeasys of America or the old fashioned gentlemans clubs in England merely for a bite to eat or to widen your social circles?
The Cosy Club embodies the splendor of the golden age in the backdrop of jazzy, soulful music.
But if you're thinking this concept is oudated, you couldn't be further from the truth!
The Cosy Club is the perfect juxtaposition of old fashioned glamour with a modern, eccentric twist.
Prepare yourself for whimsical decor, incredibly delicious food and a vibrant atmosphere.
A Sense of Exclusivity
Located above the busy streets of Liverpool One amidst the giant crowds,
Cosy Club allows it's guests an escape to immediatly forget the chaos of city life.
The floor-to-ceiling glass walls provide a subtle reminder of our modern, busy world whilst providing a uniquely beautiful backdrop to a place to unwind and relax.
Somehow, people watching has never been so good as with a cocktail in one hand and a swing in your step in time to the saxophone.
Yet, this location allows the Club to retain the feeling of exclusivity as you admire the hustle and bustle of normal life below.
Aesthetics and Atmosphere
T`he Cosy Club exemplifies grandeur from its velvet patterned walls adorned with paintings to the ornate chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
The Club itself is divided into a dedicated dining section and a bar area (with plenty of seating too!)
So whether you want to come inside for a bite to eat after shopping or to start your evening with a fun, jazzy vibe, the Cosy Club can cater to all your needs.
A Tipple to Drink
Cocktails and Mocktails for all the lovely ladies to sip
Beers, Ciders, Spirits and Liquers for the suited gentlemen at the bar
and Tea & Coffee for a late night pick-me-up
The selection certainly seems endless...
Unlike many other restaurants, the Cosy Club has a menu dedicated to choosing your perfect drink.
I always see it as a good sign when a resturant provides a drinks menu alongside the main menu and not simply a page at the back. It shows a true gastronomic establishment that appreciates how much the flavours of a drink can add to your meal.
It is even better when a restaurant and bar can appreciate alcohol is not necessary to create an amazing taste.
And the Cosy Club was far from disapointing with it's range of non-alcoholic drinks
For Once, not only did I have an option of a cocktail to drink, but also a choice!
Damson in Distress- a delight to drink
A delicious combination of gentle fizz of lemonade, the fruitiness from the blackberries and sweet apples with a kick from the freshly squeezed lemon and tangy richness of Damson plums that give it it's name.
I have been on journeys far and wide for my favourite cocktail and I think I may have found it!
And with Wine, comes the Dining..
If you thought you were spoilt for choice simply at the bar, then wait till you get to the table...
The Cosy Club offers an impressive selection of foods depending on your mood from hearty burgers to sink your teeth into to more classical main dishes you would expect to find when fine dining.
It even features its own tapas selection
The skills of the kitchen are put to the test through their versatility to cater to your needs with an additional vegan and gluten free menu.
What did we choose, you ask?
Who could resist the temptation of 2 hearty burgers ...
A Sweet Tooth...
Now to truely assess a Restaurant,
you must test their ability in all areas including the art of sweet foods...
...or at least that's the excuse I used!
Our Parting Words...
Leaving the Cosy Club certainly became a sad affair at the end of the night,
but as I stepped down the staircase leaving the Chandelier lights glistening behind me,
my parting words to my one night love affair became
"Someday we will meet again, and this time I shall eat more!"
